David Lind
David Lind - Amministratore delegato di The Natural Step Italia. Laureato in amministrazione aziendale alla University of Massachusetts Business School, David ha conseguito un Master in Sustainable Business Leadership presso la Cambridge University. Oltre ad aver gestito la rete di distribuzione europea dell’Unilever Supply Chain Company, David è stato uno dei pionieri nello sviluppo del sistema 4PL (Fourth Party Logistics) e nel 1998 ha fondato Mobile Shipping Services Ltd., acquisita nel 2002 da NYK Logistics, una delle più importanti aziende al mondo nel settore della logistica, di cui David è stato amministratore delegato dal 2002 al 2007.
Il suo primo libro “Insieme si può, viaggio verso la sostenibilità ambientale e sociale” si propone come un manuale immediato e pratico per implementare, all’intero delle scuole, un progetto finalizzato alla sensibilizzazione attiva di insegnanti e studenti verso problematiche di natura sia ambientale che sociale. Il testo, stampato in 10.000 copie, è stato distribuito ad altrettanti alunni delle Scuole Primarie e Secondarie di Primo Grado di Vicenza.
David Lind - CEO at The Natural Step Italia. An undergraduate from the University of Massachusetts’s business school and a post graduate from the University of Cambridge’s Sustainable Development program, David has spent the past 18 years working in the EU, Russia and the Far East innovating and optimizing sustainable supply chain solutions for some of the worlds largest multinationals. He has served as managing director of Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), the Japanese shipping conglomerate, and, as lead consultant to Unilever Supply Chain Company (USCC), was responsible for optimizing Unilever’s European logistics network.
A trained facilitator, David consults and speaks widely on sustainability and stakeholder engagement, is a past mentor at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and is a senior associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. His first book, “Together we can, a journey towards environmental and social sustainability", was distributed in October 2010 by the Vicenza City Council to 10,000 children in the municipalities primary and middle schools. The book serves as a practical guide for teachers and children on how to interpret and react to our ever changing, increasingly complex and challenging world.
