Bold Moves to Fulfill Growing Demands
We have officially dropped “Oregon” from our name and are now The Natural Step Network. This reflects our mission to expand our reach nationally. Oregon is a great calling card in the world of sustainability, but the former name also created confusion and some barriers. After much thought, we decided it was time for our name that reflects the opportunity ahead.
We have defined several ambitions goals for the next 2 years: doubling membership; reaching 10,000 new people with inspiring presentations; developing an expansive train-the-trainers program; and significantly expanding services and resources to our members.
We have moved into new offices in the Hazeltine Building, 133 S.W. Second Avenue, Suite 302, Portland, Oregon, 97221. This great new space gives us room to breathe, think and work manage our continued growth.
In the midst of all this, we also have a new Board President. While we regret losing John Echlin to a new position in Abdu Dabi, we are excited to have Justin Yuen to succeed him.
This is just the beginning of a new era for The Natural Step Network. These changes come amid global financial turmoil, which we interpret as a fresh opportunity to introduce organizations to the competitive advantages of sustainable practices.
