Sustainability Distance Course through the Blekinge Institute of Technology: Applications due Friday January 15
Objective: The purpose of this course is for students to learn about the core concepts of Strategic Sustainable Development (SSD) and how these concepts relate to issues in Economics, Public Policy, Planning & Land-Use, and Organisational Learning and Change. Students will learn about the major sustainability challenges facing society today, and how to take a whole-systems perspective when trying to identify problems and plan solutions. Students will study applications of this framework for SSD in social science topics, by researching the integration and use of common elements of social sciences to achieve the necessary societal shift towards sustainability.
