Register Your Interest: Building An FSSD Community

Do you want to join or help build a more cohesive, global Community of FSSD-related Change Makers? Registration of interest is ongoing. Join our growing crowd of people who want to be kept posted on our progress, or the “Helpful Collective” of those willing to contribute time and skills on an occasional basis, as needs arise and time permits. There will be plenty of opportunities as we move forward.

Need for a Launch Team to Set The Priorities and Call The Task Forces

As part of The Natural Step (TNS) initiative to help foster a broader community of practitioners and change agents using or influenced by the Framework For Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD, also known as The Natural Step Framework), we recently invited open registration for a Launch Team to get the ball rolling.

The idea is that this should be a multi-stakeholder group that broadly represents the community, and that it will set priorities and an agenda, develop a process and call task forces to tackle those priorities. I will be one member of that team.

Potential priorities identified so far include beginning to create an FSSD brand, by articulating the Unique Value Proposition of the FSSD and choosing a new name that translates well globally and is easier to say and remember, creating an online sharing platform, community governance and business modeling, possible timelines for ongoing development, gatherings or events (a “drumbeat” of activity), and a plan for further branding and marketing.
