On June 26 & 27 we'll be offering a 2-day certificate training focused on The Natural Step Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. This training will be offered in the Dutch language.

Short Description

This 2-day training is geared towards existing and new sustainability practitioners who wish to gain knowledge and skills on the strategic and systematic approach of sustainable initiatives. Much attention will be paid to the communication, planning, and management of processes aimed at sustainability.  After participating, you will have a thorough understanding of the Natural Step Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development. The training provides an excellent starting point from which you can increasingly develop a leading role in the application of sustainability leadership in your organization, company or community.

Course Objectives

As specific outcomes of this comprehensive two- day course, you will:

Gain a clear understanding of sustainable development based on sound science and systems thinking.
Achieve a solid foundation in The Natural Step Framework, its rationale, and how to apply it to organizations and complex sustainability issues.
Attain confidence in communicating core concepts of strategic sustainable development in a clear and convincing way.
Learn to apply system thinking in practice and plan for success by use of back casting.

Course Primer

To assure all participants share common references and understanding, taking part in a 2-hour online eLearning model is a prerequisite. As a group, this will allow us to delve deeper into the core concepts and to spend more time on hands-on skill building. An eLearning password will be sent to you after registering for the course. Course size: To allow for diversity while ensuring a quality learning experience, each course is limited to 25 participants.

Except for the eLearning module, all program and course materials are in Dutch.

Course Date & Venue

Dates: June 26 & 27, 2013

Time: 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM

Venue: The course will take place at our office, which is situated at the former Philips Industrial Zone Strijp-S (Torenallee 26-18, Eindhoven). The connection to public transport (rail, bus) in this zone is perfect. You can also rent a bike at the train station and cycle your way towards sustainability.
